Junior Rangers

Children viewing Observation Pond through Bird Blind

As of mid-March, resumption of the Junior Rangers program in 2021 is under discussion as the COVID precautions are eased.

At the age when 21st century kids seem most engaged with social media, Junior Rangers can help them see the value in engaging with the outdoors. For kids who love nature and parents who would love them to have more time in the great outdoors, the Rio Grande Nature Center State Park’s Junior Ranger Program provides a terrific summer experience. The Junior Ranger Program is a week-long summer day camp for youth ages 11-14 which runs 9-1 daily.
