For Groups

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, Group Activities are suspended.  Check back as the situation changes.

The Rio Grande Nature Center welcomes visits by school, scouting, religious and other groups on a self-guided or guided basis.  Guided programs for groups include nature walks, bird walks, pond explorations, and trunk programs (i.e. indoor explorations of topics such as mammals, birds or rocks).  All groups wishing to visit the park must register in advance by filling out a Group Registration Form.  If you would like the RGNC to bring a booth to your event (environmental fair, science fiesta, etc), please email Instructional Coordinator, Karen Herzenberg, at karen.herzenberg@state.nm.us

  1. Visit the New Mexico State Park website at nmparks.com.
  2. Click on “Find a Park” and select Rio Grande Nature Center.
  3. Scroll down to “For more information on Group Registration click here” to download the Group Registration packet.
  4. All information necessary for filling out and submitting the forms as well as information concerning park fees, rules and facilities is contained on the forms themselves.
